Community Connections – Redlands was establised on 3 January 2015 and first posted on social media on 24 July 2015.
Community Connections – Redlands provides a common communication platform for all Redlands Community Groups and individuals to share ideas, cross promote activities and to let the broader community know how we can help them and how they can help us. It also provides the opportunity to discuss more broadly community matters that we can share with our local politicians to ensure the voice of the collective community is heard. This will be achieved through developing positive and cooperative relationships with our local political leaders so that we can work with them for positive community outcomes.

In 2018 Community Connections – Redlands is planning to expand beyond the current small volunteer committee to bring larger projects to life that will benefit our broader community and help continue to provide the type of community we are all proud to call our home.In 2018 Community Connections – Redlands is planning to expand beyond the current small volunteer committee to bring larger projects to life that will benefit our broader community and help continue to provide the type of community we are all proud to call our home.

Our Founder, Darryl Bennett, has lived in Mount Cotton for more than 21 years. He is noted to be a serial volunteer and community supporter in the Redlands over this time, with his long term involvement as leader at the Mount Cotton Scout Group, 7 years serving on the executive of the Redland Bay State School, annual attendance at Clean Up Australia Day around the Southern Redlands, and his working with the group attempting to establish the local Rural Fire Brigade to complement the great work of our local QFS Teams, as examples of his commitment to our local community.
